FIRST VOLUME OF DIRECTORS' CUT OF LAST SIX EPISODES OF ACCLAIMED TELEVISION SERIES IN STORES JANUARY 13, 2004; INCLUDES EXCLUSIVE FOOTAGE

HOUSTON, November 5, 2003-ADV Films today announced a January 13, 2004 release date for Resurrection, the first of two Directors' Cut volumes of the enormously influential anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion. The Directors' Cut is not just a remaster, but a revised and re-edited special edition produced under the careful supervision of creators Hideaki Anno and Gainax to include amazing new footage never before available outside of Japan. The first volume contains Evangelion episodes 21-23 in both the extended Directors' Cut versions and the original broadcast versions, allowing fans to see the creative progression of this seminal title's final moments.

In addition to the Directors' Cut episodes, ADV has obtained special DVD extras that are sure to fuel the excitement for this highly anticipated release. Resurrection will include an exclusive 25-minute interview with Richard Taylor, co-founder and head of Effects and Creatures at Weta Workshop, the multiple Academy Award-winning (for The Lord of the Rings trilogy) special effects studio currently working on the Neon Genesis Evangelion live-action feature. Also included are numerous never-before-seen production images from the theatrical release.

Neon Genesis Evangelion is the story of a reluctant young hero, called upon to pilot an immense robotic weapon in battle against alien invaders in the year 2015. As the remnants of the human race cower in subterranean cities, a deadly war is being waged on what is left of the planet. On one side are the mysterious beings known as Angels; on the other, the special agency NERV and mankind's last hope, the awe-inspiring Evangelions. Sunt dispus sa dau 50 $ pe un DVD cu EVA.

CAT_woman> sunt cateva episoade + End of Evangelion, parca, dar cu cateva scene noi incluse. Povestea devine ceva mai clara.

Am vazut cele 4 episoade cu Director's cut si nu sunt mari modificari...daor cateva scene ce au fost taiate initial. Fac o parere mai clara asupra personajelor si a povestii.

Am vazut comenzi pentru Romania pe tema NGE. Era chair si NGE - Perfect Collection. Cam 150 $... In viata asta tot imi voi lua. :D

Mai fratilor, daca vreti asa de mult NGE pe dvd, pai incercati pe www.ebay.com - il gasiti cu 20 $ ( si mai ieftin chiar ) pe 3 vdvduri.
Daca e cineva interesat, sa ma contacteze, ca eu am comandat anime pe net si situ cam cum merge treaba.Eu nu am de gand sa iau nge pt ca nu il consider asa de fain, dar pot ajuta alti "disperati"...
N-are rost sa incercati dvdurile originale, sunt 6 si foarte scumpe.
Pot sa va mai dau adrese pe net cu firme care vand anime la preturi rezonabile.

eu ma indoiesc chiar tare ca va fi fain... , de obicei un film live facut dupa un anime e nasol, sau nu se compara cu varianta animata... ( vezi cazul Street fighter 2 the movie, si ala e un caz fericit ).Nu cred ca americanii vor reusi sa faca un film care sa prinda atmosferea, filosofia si stilul din NGE...

Acum ca urmaresc a doua oara Evangelion, sunt curios daca mai are cineva noutati despre acest movie project?

Din cate stiu eu, bugetul e de aproximativ 150 milione de dolari, din care au strans cam jumatate. Se zice ca vor sa faca filmul astfel incat sa nu dezamageasca. Au o lista de trei regizori (toti cunosc seria si stiu despre ce e vb, la fel si directorul de la Weta).
Se mai spune ca pt fiecare mail sau scrisoare primite de Weta de la oameni pt Stapanul Inelelor (weta a lucrat la LOTR) primesc alte 21 pt Evangelion Live Action Movie. Se pare ca treaba e serioasa. Ramane de asteptat produsul final, care nu are un termen de lansare tocmai datorita celor mentionate mai sus.
