Just an interesting tidbit for all those NEON GENESIS EVANGELION fans. There will be a Live-action Eva movie. Here's the official article:

CANNES, FRANCE, 19 May 2003—In an announcement sure to make waves in the entertainment industry, ADV Films President and CEO John Ledford today publicly confirmed industry rumors that the firm has acquired the rights to produce, and has already begun development of, a live-action feature-film based on the Japanese animated television series “Neon Genesis Evangelion,” a multi-million dollar worldwide franchise and perhaps the most influential anime title in the history of the art form. The project is a collaboration between ADV Films, Gainax and Weta Workshop, Ltd.

Just for all of those who dunno Weta Workshop, Ltd., it's a special effects group that did a little movie called Lord of the Rings. My thoughts on this. Dunno. If it's made to release in America, it most likely will suck. But then I have to admit America is the best at making Live-action movies. Look at the original movie of The Ring compared to the American version. The American one was much better. So this is just one we'll have to sit back and see. Asuka better kick ass.

Cred ca ar putea sa iasa un film bun. Persoane (care nu au facut pasiune pentru anime) carora le-am aratat secvente din NGE au spus ca "e prea realist, prea serios, cum sa faci <desen animat> cu asa ceva, de ce nu s-a facut film artistic"...

S-a mai facut vreun live-action movie dupa un anime sau dupa manga?

Daca va fi american, atunci nu stiu cum o sa rezolve cu locurile, actorii si vocile, pt. ca actiunea serialului si filmelor are loc chiar in Japonia. Poate va fi ceva in genul Avalon (de Mamoru Oshii) :)

Hm.. anime/manga > film? Huh.. nu stiu. Ma indoiesc.
Cum Gainax este si el implicat, presupun ca vor incerca sa respecte cat de cat povestea originala. Mie insa mi-e putina teama... Sper sa nu faca o prostie.
Cred ca ar fi trebui sa lasa NGE-ul in pace.

Sper doar ca fimul sa nu importa doar evele...

aici sunt deacord cu tine Urfe.....
daca nu se simt in stare mai bine so lase balta......
evele fac ceva din animeul asta....dar mai mult fac personajele......
personalitatile lor....si mai ales modul in care interactioneaza- asta ma marcat pe mine cel mai mult la NGE...interactiunea dintre personaje...
ca pana la urma e vorba de relatiile intre oameni...si de aici influenta a tot ce exista in jurul lor.

Nu-mi place deloc ce au facut in imaginile alea. Mecha-urile zici ca-s niste monstrii iesiti la ospat (gura deschisa, limba iesita afara). De personaje ce sa mai zic .... Ray in loc de Rei o_O; Kate Rose in loc de Asuka o_O;

Offtopic: Parca se vorbea pe aici despre americanizare & co, uite un exemplu bun, heh

Se pare ca pana la urma raman la convingerea mea ca niciodata n-are sa iasa un film cu adevarat bun inspirat dintr-o carte,joc,sau anime.Toate alea dupa Marvel mi-au dat impresia asta,Lord of the Rings mi-a intarit-o si asta m-a convins total.Nici nu prea cred c-am sa-l urmaresc daca cumva iese.

Offtopic:N-am dreptate cand zic ca o astfel de incercare este ca si cum ai incerca sa faci o moneda sa cada pe lat?Am discutii garla despre asa ceva cu colegii si vreau sa vad daca imi da careva dreptate.Scuze de inconveninta.

CyBeR > Lord of The Rings nu a fost un succes ?
Daca o sa se faca un film NGE la nivelul Lord of The Rings e foarte bine(cel putin in opinia mea). Sper sa nu urmeze exemplul Final Fantasy.
Eu unul mi-as dori foarte mult un film NGE la nivelul seriei Matrix si Lord of The Rings.

Da APoKLips, cred ca ai dreptate, cred ca producatorii urmaresc succesul cu orice pret si vor umbla la anumite aspecte ale serialului. Tre sa recunosc ca la asta nu m-am gandit. Probabil ca multi oameni nu vor sa auda un personaj cu numele Asuka Langley Soryu (care e cam greu de retinut) ci Kate Rose. Bineinteles ca accentul nu se va pune pe psihologia personajelor ci pe actiune, efecte specilale - in concluzie cred ca povestea va fi modificata la ceea ce vrea publcul sa vada. DAR sper sa ma insel si filmul sa arate ceea ce inseamna Evangelion.

Ok,am cam intarziat cu un raspuns dar mi-a cazut netu ieri siu nu a mai ajuns pe forum.Anyway:
Blood>eu nu am spus ca filmele Lord of the Rings nu au fost un succes,dar zi-mi,crezi ca succesul unui film denota neaparat ca filmul e o capodopera sau ca-si merita numele?Eu unul nu prea cred.Am citit cartile si pot pune pariu ca filmele au fost un succes doar din cauza faptului ca au avut moro efecte speciale,nu din cauza respectarii povestii.Nu cred ca ai sa gasesti fani Tolkien care sa fi apreciat filmele.Nici macar al treilea c are a avut ultima sansa sa mai spele onoarea producatorilor nu-i complet satisfacator ci doar bunisor.Dar asta nu tine de topic asa ca nu mai are rost sa continui.
ApoK>sunt complet de acord cu tine.Va avea numele de Evangelion dar nu va fi Evangelion.Nu vor putea niciodata sa redea aceeasi atmosfera ca anime-ul sau ca manga.E pur si simplku imposibil.In 2-3 ore nu vor putea sa puna la punct toate aspectele ce fac ca Eva sa fie unic si atat de bun.Repet, e IMPOSIBIL.

P.S:Blood>daca povestea ar fi modificata atunci cum crezi ca acel film va mai putea arata ce inseamna Evangelion,de vreme ce povestea este unul din punctele de baza ale seriei.Eh,poate si omul sa viseze presupun.

Gainax a spus dupa End of Evangelino ca va pune punct pentru totdeauna subiectului. Acum l-a redeschis....

1. Din cate stiu, nu are probleme financiare care, in caz extrem, sa fi fost si motivul.
2. Poate vor sa creeze ceva special.
3. E o forma imensa de publicitate.

Daca Neon Genesis Evangelion va avea de castigat... probabil. Ca 'titlu'. Dar ca 'imagine', nu stiu.... am emotii.

Acum iau pozele.. bine ca ai pus link-ul, Blood.

Interesant ca Buget = $100 Million,(chiar isi propun succesul)

>CyBeR> Nu am citit Lord of the Rings, nu am vazut decat The Two Towers, nu ma pasioneaza povestile cu elfi, orci & restul, dar pot sa spun ca ceea ce am vazut in filmul asta(cele 2h, 45m cat tine 2 towers) m-a impresionat. Si asta nu numai din cauza efectelelor speciale.

Repet ca as fi super fericit sa vad o transpunere NGE intr-un film asemanator seriei Matrix si LoTR.

OK,Blood ma retrag.Nu are nici un rost sa te contrazic ca oricum n-o sa ajungem nicaieri.Am sa astept sa iasa filmul iar daca nu-i bun ma duc si le dau in cap cu ranga producatorilor :lol: Oricum,o singura imagine parca-i mai rasarita dintre toate.

P.S>tot veni vorba,si eu as vrea un Legacy of Kain ca film dar mai bine n-ar deveni realitate.Oricum,se pare ca a aparut moda asta cu filme dupa anime,comix,S.A.
Blood>Ar trebui sa vezi si Return of the King,e destul de bun.

Pe de-o parte e film, asa ca Rei, Asuka, Misato etc. nu vor exista poate decat ca uniforme/costume....

Ceva la imagini nu mi-a placut... Evele seamana putin a bestii turbate.

Tocmai am vazut filmul si sunt muuuuuuuuuuulte lucruri care m-au zapacit, asa ca am cautat pe siteuri explicatii. E super ciudat fiindca sfarsitul nu se compara cu cel descris in biblie. Ma rog, tipul plange cam prea mult desi e baiat, foarte enervant!!!
