ten reasons why this show pissed me off.

1. The main characters are indecisive to the point of painfull. There are several times when they just stand there while their friends are being beaten to a pulp and agonize whether or not they should help.
2. Everybody has guns and some special equipment, yet they still agonize over whether or not to kill the alien freaks that just splattered one of their friends.
3. The main character is an asshole. In the show, there is a girl, she's basically homeless due to a plot device; first it takes him for fucking EVER to figure out that a girl that's been sleeping in front of his door waiting for him to get home wasn't there because she wanted a glass of water.
3.5 Once he does find out, all he can do is think about getting laid. (while she's all crying over her plight by the way)
3.7 He never actually gets laid, he just leers at her boobs a lot.
4. In the middle of a fight to the death (while agonizing over whether or not to shoot) characters will have these long ass periods of 'frozen with fear' while everyone around them is getting kacked.
5. The secondary characters are either assholes, or total pussies. (example: when a girl gets dragged out of the room to be very obviously raped since you can hear her protesting through the door NO one goes to help until we've had a good solid round of self doubt.)
6 there are several episodes where I was just yelling, "goddam, fucking shoot, fuuuck, you guys are such pussies" at the screen.
7. Apparently being surrounded by aliens, having most of your group including an old grandmother and her grandchild get kacked STILL isn't enough to convince you that firearms, NOT hand to hand combat is the way to go.)
8 There is a news story going on about the dissapearance of the main characters that continues throughout the entire show. The newscaster takes lots of time to show a mashed umbrella, and a nudie magazine that was left behind. This is despite the fact that it's the main characters who are supposedly dead (this isn't a spoiler), but have actually returned to school.
9. The school, is filled with bullies that prey on the weak and extract teeth when they don't bring enough lunch money. No one seems to actually care about this, and the main chracter doesn't help anyone (of course!) until he is the one targeted. Naturally he still agonizes about fighing back while he's getting smacked around. Only the thoughts of his friends very large boobies are enough to make him fight back.
10 in the first season, there are only a couple of actual action peices. Most of which you see in the opening credits.
11. Actually, if you've seen the opening credits, that is the whole season without the whining, agonizing and bitching.
12. The 'hero' of the group is willing to help out obvious assholes, even just after they got done doing rock paper scisors on who gets to rape his girlfriend first. (they don't, she never actually gets raped.)
12.5 How goddam many times do we have to see people decide to rape this girl?
13 Ok, get with me here... you get zapped to a remote location, armed and equiped. Do you stand around yakking, or grab some hardware?
14 the "boss" (and he is reffered to as such) alien looks like an escapee from a fried chicken advertisement.
14.5 On second thought, maybe the 'boss' is able to get employment as a mascot for some sports team.
15 The main character is seemingly able to read peoples minds in the very beginning of the first episode, yet this never surfaces again. Presumably this is why when he want's to have sex with the girl who has no place to go, and is crying he doesn't 'get' that maybe it's not an ideal time.
15.5 If he was THAT mercenary, he would have just said 'put out or get out'. After all he goes to a school where bullies pull the teeth right out of junior right outside classes.
16 did I mention that in the middle of a combat situation, people are still yakking about helping each other out, making threats, and so forth?
17 The stuff that comes out of the armament 'device' could never actually fit inside of it. Explain that shit, someone?

Ma intrebam, daca e chiar asa de rau acest serial, ideea ar fi interesanta, adik poate duce la multa actiune, dar felul in care e realizat lasa de dorit...

Mai, o fi tehnica aia de care zici tu, eu n-am mai dat de ea pana acum (mai toate bataile pe care le-am vazut sunt liniare dpdv. temporal) de aceea mi-era si mai greu sa inteleg scenele de lupta (mai ales atunci cand Masaru fuge dupa primul Tanaka, la inceput fuge perpendicular cu podul pe care stateau aia si se uitau la lupta ca prostii, si indepartandu-se de el, ca mai apoi, in secventa urmatoare, ne este aratat ca fuge paralel cu podul, probabil pentru ca Kei sa ajunga mai repede in ajutorul lui Masaru).

Despre existenta lui Gantz ce pot sa zic... explicatia lui Nishi nu prea tine (in totalitate, adica devine clar ca securitatea/organizatia din care facea parte tatal lui nu-l controla pe Gantz), odata ce Gantz ajunge sa ceara eliminarea lui Kurono ce fizic (desi ar fi dorit distrugerea/uciderea lui Gantz) nu ar fi fost in stare sa-l raneasca in vreun fel pe Gantz, si dupa cum vad lucrurile bila neagra si cu glume proaste, dupa parerea me, o fi fost vreun experiment al Securitatii pierdut de sub control care nu avea ce face si se juca cu oamenii ce si asa erau morti eventual eventual omorand Alieni care nu aveau nimic cu societatea umana (Se vede clar ca nici Onion Alien, nici Tanaka si nici statuetele nu omorau oameni... ci doar oamenii omorau oameni... that's dumb for human kind)

Atata vreme cat Masaru isi indreapta momentele de ipocrizie si reusesta sa traga, eu nu am nimic impotriva statutului sau de idealist. Ce e rau in a fi idealist? Ce e rau in a expune si a incerca sa-ti urmezi propriile principii. El este exemplul oricarui misionar, isi expune ideile oral iar apoi prin actiuni dar nu le impune, lasand libertatea de alegere tuturor celor carora propovaduieste.
Eu nu vad personajul asta decat cu mai putina putintade lupta decat Kei. Uneori ipocrit la inceput, dar in anime-ul asta nu exista personaje perfecte dar unele evolueaza (si Masaru este unul dintre acestea, zic eu)
App. moartea lui Masaru e trasa de par chiar si daca nu punem la socoteala timpii lui Gantz. Adica, sa fim seriosi, Kei supravietuieste fara o mana si fara un picior vreo 10 min. iar Masaru nu supravietuieste 5 secunde cu ceva in inima...? (dar probabil atunci drama lui Kei nu ar fi fost la fel de usor de gustat :twisted: )

Era si el doar om. Si nu ucisese niciodata oameni. Doar Alieni care cica faceau rau omenirii si ii aduceau lui puncte. Eu nu inteleg de ce i-a pasat de ceilalti atunci cand Gantz l-a anuntat ca fiind alien. Eu m-as fi asteptat sa-si bage picioarele sa nu le zica astora nimic, sa-i omoare, sa-si ia punctele si sa plece acasa. (dar probabil intervine aceeasi problema, a faptului ca ei erau oameni si nu alieni).
